We got to see inside the New Theatre Royal Portsmouth.
We finally got to see inside the New Theatre Royal Portsmouth at the weekend. Its a really unique building having the influence of two famous theatre designers (Phipps and Matcham, suffered fire which gutted the backstage area fly tower and stage, and been threatened with demolition more than once over the years. The restoration is beautiful, and the combination of modern stage and backstage with vintage auditorium should ensure this unique theatre lives on for another 100 years.
